About Us
URide was formed in the Fall of 2009 by a group of UD students seeking to fill the lack of transportation on campus for the student of the University of Delaware. We provide a fun and affordable alternative to walking that allows you and your friends to reach your destination safely and at your convenience.
How We Got Started
We knew about other pedicab companies, but we wanted something more. We wanted protection from the rain, a reasonable time of transit, and courteous service from professional escorts. That's why we have hybrid electric pedicabs with rain shells to protect you, electric assist to ensure your timely arrival, and highly trained escorts ready to serve you.
It's also why we created URide On Demand, the most convenient on-demand transport service available anywhere on campus.

To complement our extensive knowledge as students who have lived both on and off campus, we conducted market research from August 2009 until December 2009. With a better understanding of the campus environment and student needs, we officially began operations in February 2010.
